Ron & I met on a "blind date "   at a pub in Broadstone  some years ago .

I Had a call from the Bmth. Flying Club  to say there was a new "young"  pilot  who would  like to meet an experienced  [!] fellow flyer to share  flying trips away from Dorset ,   overseas [ Isle of White ] maybe !!?? 

It turned out Ron preferred to keep mother earth below......so the I of W  was "overseas "limits.!!

Well that was the start a long & happy friendship   in the air and  socially . RIP  Ron
